NavIC : India's Own GPS System
NavIC GPS System
NavIC, which is now India's own satellite GPS system also technical named as "Indian Regional Navigation Satellite System (IRNSS) ". NavIC name is generated as Navigation with Indian Constellation; and, navik ('sailor') or 'navigator' in sanskrit language.

About System
This navigation system provides actual real time positioning and timing
services also it covers india and 1500 Km around it. This system works
with 7 satellites and 2 additional satellites on ground as well. NavIC
is operate by Indian space research organization. This app will launch
in Chinese smartphone which is Realme X50 Pro.
Purpose
Global navigation satellite systems which is controlled by foreign
ministry is not guaranteed for troops or hostile positions, as already
happened while Kargil war in 1999 when it dependent on american GPS
system. So government of India has to approved this project in May 2013.
Services
NavIC system provides two levels of services, the first is "standard
positioning services" which can use by civilians and second one is
"encrypted services" which can used by authorized user only including
the military.
Launch Detail
First satellite launch was done on 1st of july 2013 and last launch was done on 12nd April 2018.
Accuracy
This system purpose to provide great accuracy of batter than 10 meters through out Indian mainland.
Also great accuracy batter than 20 meters on Indian Ocean. The NavIC
provides 5m accuracy actual time positioning. GPS system has accuracy
about 10-20m.
