Delhi, the capital of India, is a magnificent city. From monuments to parks, the capital city is replete with places of attractions. Here are the ten best places to visit in Delhi:-

  1. India Gate

It is one of the most important places to visit in Delhi. This is the war memorial of soldiers killed in the war. The Amar Jawan Jyoti is present here. 

  1. Humayun's Tomb

It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site built by Humayun's son Akbar. The architecture, along with the garden in the tomb, is beautiful. The massive building is made of red sandstone and worth looking at.  
  1. Red Fort
The magnificent Fort was built-in 1638 by the Mughals. The architecture of the attraction is mind-blowing. In the year 2007, it was recognized as the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Red Fort is also known as Lal Qila due to its red sandstone walls of the Fort.
  1. Qutub Minar
Qutub Minar is a 73m tall tower and is very popular for its height in India. Qutab-ud-din Aibak built it in the early 13th century. This is a victory tower made of red stone and holds great historical facts.

The place gives the vibe of the early Mughal period as it is filled with old Mughal - style buildings. The depiction of Islamic architecture can be seen in these buildings too. There are many beautiful cafes, bars, and restaurants in this area.

Jama Masjid is India's largest mosque built by Shah Jahan in1656. The building's architecture is lovely. The structure is made up of intricate work of red sandstone and white marble. The mosque has a capacity of 25,000 people who gather here to offer prayers.

This is the world's largest Hindu temple, according to the Guinness Book of World Records. The 12 acres of the temple's land comprises of a beautiful garden and museum, which is marvellous to look at.
  1. Jantar Mantar
Maharaja Jai Singh II of Jaipur built the massive scientific building. The premise accommodates 13 astronomy instruments. The main aim of this place was to showcase the astronomical tables to ordinary people. The tools kept here were used for predicting the movement of the sun, moon, and other planets.
  1. Raj Ghat
Raj Ghat is renowned as the memorial of the famous freedom fighter, Mahatma Gandhi. It is also recognized as his cremation ground. There are two museums based on Gandhi Ji's life on the premise, which is of utmost importance. Films in English and Hindi language are also shown to the visitors between 9:30 AM till 5:30 PM except on Thursday. On Friday, prayer is also held, and a massive crowd of people gathers around.
